Monograph Presentation

Metallurgy and heat treatment in the automotive industry

Arkadiy Tikhonov — Russian Society for Metal Science and Heat Treatment, Moscow, Russia The monograph covers most of kinds of heat treatment used for components made of ferrous, non-ferrous, casting, powder and sheet metal materials.Substantial share of data in the monograph stands for modern methods of thermochemical treatment used for parts strengthening, including vacuum furnace processes. The author’s own many-years’ experience in the field of products heat treatment is summarized here. Professor A.K. Tikhonov dedicated the monograph to the 180th birth anniversary of Dmitry K. Chernov.
